    Very good

Hotel is very close to center Amsterdam but located in quiet area near to the park and Zoopark. It's really nice "home - place" to stay in amsterdam for few days.

Check out before 11, so we have to walk before the plane.

    Exceptional

A small relaxed hotel in a relatively quiet area but still close to the centre of Amsterdam. Our room was large and comfortable, staff very helpful and the buffet breakfast very good.

    Exceptional

the hotel is situated in the centre but still far from tourists, so the place is really quite and pleasant. The tripple room we stayed in already twice is really big. Very comfortable, very nice and causy. Also there is a jacuzzi :) Breakfast is also ok - juice, milk, coffee, tea, a lot of sorts of bread, bacon, cheese, eggs, different jams etc. Also there is free wifi in every room. The personnel is very kind and is ready to help. We stayed in the hotel last year on New Year, and came here last week once again. And both times we were really satisfied. I've never been in a 2* hotel which is so amazing. Next time I'm in Amsterdam I will definately stay there again!

    Exceptional

Lovely, quiet location next to Hortus Botanicus and park, but still easy walking into city (about 15 minutes walk from Centraal Station) and easy to get to via tram 9. Very welcoming, helpful staff. Hotel very clean and well maintained, with comfortable beds and easy chairs in room. Room facilities were good, with a small refridgerator and kettle with tea and coffee provided. Breakfast was basic but very good (cold buffet + boiled eggs & toaster), nicely served in a pleasant, spacious breakfast room overlooking the park. Main feature that raised this above many other small hotels in Amsterdam was the attention to safety - smoke detectors, fire doors and a good fire escape stairway (this was very reassuring, as many hotels of this size offer no means of escape from the room in case of fire).

    Fabulous

I was chosing in between of this hotel and one international chain and was absolutely happy with our choice. This one gave very nice Amsterdam atmosphere with narrow steep stairs, very cosy breakfast room and friendly staff. The area isn't as crowded as centre but enough close to the centre to walk there - we never used tram except of arrival with luggage. We had tripple room for three adults, which was surprisingly spacious for this quite narrow building. Breakfast was quite simple, but above my expectations for this price segment (boiled eggs, muesli/yoghurt, cheese, ham, jam, various breads, tee/coffee). There are some bikes to rent just in hotel.

    Very good

Hotel Parklane is a 'faded grand-dame' that has seen better days: tram stop is a 2 minute walk around the corner, but it is in a quiet neighborhood with a park directly across, and about 20 minute walk from the Red Light Dsitrict. Very steep staircases; big windows opening onto a courtyard out of a clean and spacious room; adequate breakfast; nice and pleasant family-run hotel. Good indication of what 115 euros a night pays for in Amsterdam. I would stay there again.

    Fabulous

The room was fine. The staff were most helpful and friendly. The location is good, as you can walk to the main points of interest quite easily, and there is also tram and subway access nearby.

There is no elevator, but the staff helped with luggage to the first floor, and accommodated my request that I be placed in a room on the first floor.

    Fabulous

Staff helpful; very good breakfast; good location for city visit- easy access to tram or walking.

Steep stairs, without elevator. Needs a bit of updating for price based upon cost comparisons with Berlin, Frankfurt, Prague, Munich, Salzburg, Vienna, and Budapest.

    Superb

The team was good and kind. Try to properly help with any problems or information. Large rooms, clean and comfortable.

Multiple steps make it very difficult to bring suitcases and especially if they are large. We had a problem with a bad smell came through the bathroom drain. Breakfast very poor and not much variety. Especially hard vegetarians.

    Superb

The personnel was so friendly, the rooms were nice, clean and up to date. Breakfast was good and the hotel had a home-like feeling.

Many people have mentioned the steep stairs as a minus - but if you want to be well situated in Amsterdam and go to an old town house hotel like this from year 1864, you can´t avoid these kind of steps and should just take it as a work out ;) Wouldn´t necessarily recommend the top floors for families with small children though.

    Fabulous

Good location, the place was quite and still you just 15 minutes to the Dam square or to Central Station by foot and to the main activities as well, or you can take a tram. Zoo is just in few minutes of walking time. We ask to reserve a taxi to airport and they found taxi for 6 people at the fixed rate.

    Fabulous

The hotel was in a fabulous location, very easy to walk everywhere with access to trams around the corner. I stayed with my two sons in a triple room on the top floor (no lift) and we thought it was an excellent room for our needs. The triple room (room 12) was very spacious and perfect for our needs. We would definitely return to Hotel Parklane next time in Amsterdam.

    Very good

Location was perfect, very close to city centre. It was clean, really. I heard that sometimes this is a problem for hotels in AMsterdam, but this is not the case for this one. Clean, and friendly people at the reception.

I would have preferred to have a bigger bed and a bathroom with a window or at least ventilation system. The rest was perfect.

    Superb

Amsterdam is not a cheap city, but the Hotel Parklane was reasonable and extremely pleasant. Friendly, accommodating staff, nice breakfast and the room was clean, and comfortable. Free wifi included. The hotel is walking distance from all the tourist areas and the central station if you want to go on canal tours. We truly enjoyed our stay there.

    Fabulous

I enjoyed the quiet neighbor hood, the park accross the street, the close, but not too close, to city center location.

The stairs were challenging, but do-able.
